I wish I could post a little bit more regularly on the blog, but organizing the time to take pictures and write in a language that is not mine is harder than I thought. But I have so many ideas that I would like to share here with you. So let’s take an early good resolution for 2019 on trying to improve my organisation skills.
But now let’s talk about today’s theme…Pink!
A few days ago, I found the softest pink cashmere sweater by Alaïa, the one I where in the last look (scroll down). This blush pink little number inspired me to style a colour that I extremely rarely wear…Pink!
And what a shame, pink is a lot of fun to style, foremost in the winter when everything around is black or grey, having a little pop of colour is good for the mood and easier to style that you could imagine.
In this first look, I based my outfit around my favourite trousers. Those 80’s Tuzzi pants are so much fun, they are high waisted which is my number one criteria when it comes to bottoms and has some cute ruffles around the leg bottoms. Also, one woman at my tailor school made a very unpleasant comment about them that makes me love them even more :p
I paired them with my most recent find, those blue suede western boots and decided to go for a navy blue / pink combination.

For the second look, I’m wearing this late 50’s early 60’s super long coat that I found in Paris. It has such a unique almost 3D pattern and I wanted to wear it at least once before it goes for its new home.
The coat is made in a old blush pink, I thought I’ll make it pop with this 60’s bright pink silk scarf my mom gave me this summer and my beloved emerald green Lancel bag.

Also, some footwear tip, if you want great quality and super comfy shoes…take a look at Repetto. They are on the expensive side but I’ve got those heeled booties for years and they were second hand. You will find quite a lot of pair on ebay. Look for ebay.fr 😉
And finally, for this last look, I’m wearing the famous Alaïa sweater. It is in the softest cashmere. The bubblegum colour reminded me of the sixties and it is what inspired my look. I hope this post will inspire you not to be afraid of colours even during the winter months.
